Mr. Eghbali is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Clearlake Capital Group, L.P. an investment private investment firm founded in 2006 operating integrated businesses across private equity, credit and other related strategies. In addition to his investing responsibilities, Mr. Eghbali is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Firm. With a sector-focused approach, the firm seeks to partner with management teams by providing patient, long-term capital to businesses that can benefit from Clearlake’s operational improvement approach, O.P.S.® The firm’s core target sectors are software and technology-enabled services and media; industrials and energy; and consumer. Clearlake has over $72 billion of assets under management, and its senior investment principals have led or co-led over 400 investments.
Prior to co-founding Clearlake, Mr. Eghbali was a private equity investor at TPG Capital where he focused on buyouts, turnarounds, and other transformational investments in the business services, communications/media, and technology sectors. Mr. Eghbali started his career in investment banking in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at in the Technology Group at Morgan Stanley & Co. Mr. Eghbali currently serves on the Board of Directors of several Clearlake portfolio companies including Appriss, the Better for You companies, Brightly Software, Chelsea F.C., Confluence, Constant Contact, Cornerstone OnDemand, DigiCert, Diligent, Discovery Education, EagleView, InvestCloud, Ivanti Software, Newfold Digital, FINThrive, Perforce, Quest, Symplr, and Victory Live.
Mr. Eghbali also serves on the Board of Directors of other non- profit corporations and foundations including his family foundation, the Noor Foundation, the International Society of Children with Cancer (ISCC), as well as the Clearlake Impact Initiative and is a National Council Member at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI). Mr. Eghbali graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis on Finance from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
