Jayne Appel Marinelli is Senior Vice President of Player Relations for the WNBPA. After a seven-season WNBA career with the San Antonio Stars and a 2010 All-Star nod, she served as WNBA Secretary-Treasurer and was on the CBA negotiations panel. She won a gold medal with the U.S. National Team at the 2010 World Championships. In her WNBPA role, Jayne develops player programming in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, education, and career development. She leads the Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Player leadership group and assists in CBA negotiations. A Stanford alumna, she earned Pac-10 Scholar-Athlete of the Year and was a two-time All-American. She played professionally in China and Turkey. A Mental Health Advocate, Jayne worked with Bring Change 2 Mind and Clarity, earning the 2016 WNBA Cares Community Assist Award. Jayne holds a B.A. in Psychology from Stanford and an M.S. in Sports Management from California University of Pennsylvania. She lives in Orinda, Calif., with her husband Chris and children Shea, Dominic, Charles, and Jackson.
