Janet Evans is a three-time Olympian in the sport of swimming with four gold medals and one silver medal to her name, breaking seven world records during her athletic career. A key leader of Los Angeles’ bid to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Janet is putting her firsthand experience as an athlete and her deep institutional knowledge of the global and U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Movements at the service of LA28. In her current role, Janet is spearheading the effort to ensure athletes are at the heart of LA’s plans for the Games. Janet joined the team in September 2015.
Janet received her B.A. in Communications from the University of Southern California. She was inducted into the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame in 2004 and the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 2001 and named to the 2018 Class of Sports Business Journal’s Game Changers.
