Raquel Braun serves as the Head of Media, Talent and Esports—Business Development at EA SPORTS. In this role, Raquel advises the business, supports overall strategy development, and serves as the lead negotiator with respect to media partnerships & content development, talent engagement and esports initiatives across EA SPORTS’ portfolio of brands. Raquel also works closely with EA SPORTS’ league partners to build and deliver upon strategic media, talent and esports objectives.
Raquel leads a team of strategists and dealmakers who manage negotiations with global media partners and production companies, and the engagement of high-profile celebrities, athletes, broadcasters, and other talent. Additionally, Raquel serves as the Co-Chair of EA's Women's Ultimate Team, Southern California chapter.
Prior to joining EA SPORTS, Raquel was Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs at FOX Sports where she focused on sports production, including managing high-profile talent negotiations, advising business clients on production operations and strategy, and overseeing production-related agreements for FOX Sports’ premier properties - FIFA World Cup, the NFL, Major League Baseball, Major League Soccer and NASCAR. In this role, she led on-the-ground business and legal affairs efforts in Paris for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, Russia for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Miami (FL) for Super Bowl LIV and the 2017 MLB All-Star Game, and Vancouver for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup, amongst other events.
In prior roles with FOX, Raquel worked closely with FOX Sports executives on the acquisition of major sports rights for FOX’s global sports networks, including deals with the NFL, MLB, UEFA, Premier League, UFC, amongst others, and provided business and legal affairs support on the launches and management of various FOX Sports international networks and businesses. While at FOX, Raquel was a founding member of the Women of FOX Sports, an employee-led organization at FOX Corporation, where she served as its Co-Chair.
Before joining FOX Sports, Raquel served as a clerk at the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and worked with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the National Basketball Association, and the Washington Nationals.
