She recently expanded responsibilities beyond Programming to become Head of Content, overseeing all DraftKings content initiatives including the newly launched DraftKings Network, VSiN, The Sports Betting Network, and DK Studio Production and Operations.
Prior to DraftKings, McCollum served as Vice President, Programming & Acquisitions at ESPN. In this role, she had oversight of ACC Network and Longhorn Network before adding SEC Network responsibilities in 2021.
In her role with ACC Network and SEC Network, she served as the point of contact for ESPN’s business with the Atlantic Coast Conference and Southeastern Conference, including responsibility for the programming strategy, content acquisitions, live event scheduling, and P&L. She was also charged for setting the long-term strategy for the linear platform and its social and digital companions. She also played a key role in negotiating the momentous 20-year rights deal between ESPN and the ACC to launch ACC Network and ESPN’s multimedia rights agreement extension with the ACC.
Before her transition to ESPN’s college networks in 2011, McCollum was director, programming and acquisitions, for ESPN overseeing management of NFL and golf across ESPN networks, platforms, and businesses. McCollum took on that role after three years of progressive responsibility in the programming department – associate manager, manager, and senior manager – handling day-to-day duties for ESPN’s NFL, NBA, NHL, and golf properties. In addition, she managed the network’s relationship with figure skating rights holders including rights negotiations with the International Skating Union and U.S. Figure Skating. McCollum joined ESPN from the NHL in 2004 where she had served as manager, TV production, since 2000. Prior to that, she worked for ESPN Regional TV and CBS Sports.
