As Senior Vice President, Head of Gaming & New Business Ventures for the NBA, Scott Kaufman-Ross manages all initiatives related to the league’s commercial endeavors including those across the sports betting, fantasy sports and data distribution landscape on a global basis. Scott sets the league’s strategy across those businesses, and led the NBA’s partnerships with FanDuel, DraftKings, Sportradar, Sorare, Yahoo, Tabcorp and Dream11 and served as the NBA’s Board Observer to FanDuel for three years.
Additionally, in his role overseeing New Business Ventures, he explores potential new business lines for the league, helps commercial teams explore creative deal structures and sits on the NBA’s Investment Committee.
Scott also plays a central role in helping to set the league’s media strategy, including the NBA’s media rights renewals, and evaluating the future of the local media landscape.
Before taking on his current role, Scott spent four years on the NBA’s Global Strategy Team evaluating the league’s strategic approach to new business areas such as daily fantasy sports, sports betting, esports and venture investing. Prior to joining the NBA, Scott spent four years at Goldman Sachs in the Global Investment Research division covering the Retail sector.
