Hans Schroeder is the NFL Executive Vice President of Media Distribution. He leads the League’s overall media strategy, and negotiations for live game rights, and manages the League’s Broadcast Department, including the creation of the NFL schedule.

Previously, Hans served as Senior Vice President of Media Strategy and Development for the NFL. In this role, he oversaw a variety of areas including media strategy, linear and digital business development, NFL Network distribution, ad sales for NFL owned and operated assets, as well as the League’s international media business.

Hans joined the NFL in 2001 as part of the Corporate Development group, where he worked on a range of areas including media related projects, stadium development, key labor and economic issues, and expansion of the NFL’s international business. In 2005, Hans transitioned to the NFL’s media group as General Manager of NFL.com and the head of media business development. In this capacity, he led the re-launch of NFL.com and the build-out the NFL’s internal internet team, as well as several key media initiatives including NFL Mobile, NFL.com Fantasy, and NFL Game Pass.

Prior to joining the NFL, Hans was a Director of Strategic & Corporate Development for Ask Jeeves, an internet search company based in Emeryville, California. He began his career at in the investment banking group at Merrill Lynch in their Chicago and Sydney, Australia offices.

Hans graduated from Princeton University in 1996 with A.B. in American History and was a four-year member of the football team.
