George Barrios is a former Fortune 500 C-Suite executive with a proven history of success leading publicly-traded companies and driving significant value creation for shareholders. In 2020, following a celebrated
corporate career in media, sports and entertainment, Mr. Barrios founded ISOS Capital, an investment and advisory firm uniquely positioned to identify and execute on global sports, entertainment, media, and
technology opportunities.
Mr. Barrios’s extensive experience architecting transformative business strategies, driving operational efficiencies, and optimizing growth opportunities led to the firm’s unique approach of providing operational
expertise alongside strategic capital to innovative brands at the intersection of content, community and commerce. ISOS, which is 100% founded and led by a diverse management team, has established a corporate social impact initiative to deliver a minimum of 1% of its profits to support financial literacy, health and wellness, and education and development programs for women and people of color.
In 2021, Mr. Barrios oversaw the firm’s first milestone transaction, completing a $2.6 billion business combination with Bowlero Corp, which has outperformed all major stock indicies since going public. In 2023,
ISOS Capital announced the formation of ISOS7 alongside future NBA Hall-of-Famer Carmelo Anthony with a focus on investing in global sports assets. As the Co-Managing Partner of ISOS7, he leads a team of
investment professionals and operators providing strategic capital and operational expertise to leagues and teams. Prior to launching ISOS Capital, Mr. Barrios had a distinguished 30-year career focused on general management, strategic planning, operations and financial oversight in the media, technology, and sports and entertainment sectors. He has an extensive track record in value creation,
organizational structure, operational optimization, data, and technology innovation. A hallmark of his career is creating and leading high-performing teams that have transformed organizations and generated
outsized returns.
Immediately preceding the launch of ISOS Capital, Mr. Barrios served as Co-President and Board Member at World Wrestling Entertainment, guiding the company through transformative change and establishing a multi-platform media enterprise that created $4.5 billion in shareholder value over a six-year span of rapid global growth. During his tenure, Mr. Barrios played a central role in leading WWE’s transformation to one of the most successful multi-platform media businesses in the world. He led the development, launch and operation of WWE Network, the company’s SVOD service, and secured the largest increase in domestic media rights fees in company history. More recently, Mr. Barrios re-joined WWE’s Board and steered the organization through a sales process that resulted in a
valuation of over $9 billion for the company. Prior to his time with WWE, Mr. Barrios was Vice President and Treasurer of the New York Times Company and held leadership positions in operations, strategy and finance. Early in his career, Mr. Barrios served as a Division CFO and subsequently General Manager for North American operations at Praxair, an industrial gas supplier, and he held key general
management and financial oversight roles at HBO.
Mr. Barrios previously served on the Bowlero board and he currently serves on the Board of WWE. Since 2014, he has served on the Make-A-Wish America Board of Directors, most recently as Chairman of
the Board from 2021-2023. Mr. Barrios received his B.A. and MBA from the University of Connecticut School of Business
