June S. Dipchand is a corporate partner in Skadden’s New York office, concentrating in mergers and acquisitions, securities law and general corporate law matters. She advises public and private clients in connection with U.S. and cross-border transactions and is also the head of the firm’s Canadian M&A practice.

Ms. Dipchand regularly counsels on negotiated and contested acquisitions, dispositions, SPACs, mergers, joint ventures, leveraged buyouts, carve-outs, strategic investments, financings, restructurings, recapitalizations and reorganizations. In addition, she has represented numerous clients with respect to a wide array of corporate law matters, including corporate governance, SEC reporting obligations and takeover preparedness.

Among other matters in the sports sector, Ms. Dipchand advised Qatar Investment Authority in its minority investment in Monumental Sports & Entertainment, which owns and operates eight sports franchises (including the Washington Capitals, Washington Mystics and Washington Wizards), five venues and one media network, among additional assets.

In recognition of her work, Ms. Dipchand has been named to IFLR1000, repeatedly selected by Lawdragon as one of its 500 Leading Dealmakers in America and ranked by MergerLinks as one of the Top 10 M&A Lawyers in Canada. Ms. Dipchand also is active in pro bono and diversity initiatives, both within and outside the firm. She currently sits on the board of directors — and co-chairs the board’s Diversity Subcommittee — of the Legal Aid Society of New York, one of the largest organizations of its kind that provides legal services to vulnerable clients and communities in New York.
