Shawn is a Partner in Grant Thornton's Advisory Services Practice and serves as our firm’s National Gaming Industry Leader and as our Advisory Leader of Risk Strategy, Innovation, and Industry. He has worked with industry leading and dynamic companies in the gaming sector for over 25 years. Shawn’s experience in the gaming industry includes technology transformation, M&A, regulatory compliance, finance function improvement, human capital, procurement, process improvement, valuations, cybersecurity, forensics & investigations, reward program enhancement, ESG, internal audit and tax function optimization.

Shawn’s experience beyond public accounting and consulting includes management responsibilities with a global investment management company and also work in business finance to help start up and expanding businesses obtain seed capital and expand through angel and venture capital investment.

Shawn is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Risk Professional. He obtained his Masters in Accounting and Information System from Brigham Young University.
